Sites
Our sites cover most of the wind directions and are all suitable for both Paragliders and Hangliders.
Ma Ma Creek
Ma Ma Creek is one of our most often used sites. It is a novice site.
The launch lies east of the Toowoomba range. It has multiple launches which can accommodate directions from N-NE. There are also plans to develop more launches on the same hill allowing S-SE launches. The track up is strictly 4 x 4 only and may be unusable after rain. The hill has a wind station installed on it which means you can check wind strength and direction from the comfort of you lounge.

Stringybark
Stringybark lies between Ma Ma Creek and the Toowoomba range. It is a lovely open launch but because of restricted landing options it can only be flown by advanced pilots unless conditions are deemed ideal. It takes a NE-SE direction. The track up is strictly 4×4 only and may be unusable after rain.
Mt Storey
Mt Storey lies to the west of Toowoomba. Sealed road right to launch for this one! Just a small hill but we use it a lot, especially in winter when winds are prevailing westerlies. An intermediate site which often provides a good get away for XC flying on a good day.
Middleton’s
Wilson’s
Wilson’s launch faces NE on the edge of the Toowoomba range. It is a narrow, single chute launch so can be tricky.
Killarney
The club also administers five sites in the Killarney area. This is a beautiful area to fly. The club holds regular weekends away when the weather is suitable to fly here.
There is another wind station at one of the Killarney sites with real time wind readings available at: www.freeflywindstation.com
